3 players that need a big game for the Broncos in Week 3
The Denver Broncos’ week three game is going to be a huge one to avoid falling to 1-2. Which players need to have a big game? I would be willing to say that this game might just be a must-win for Denver, or, at least a game where if the team loses, it’s a close loss.
The team needs to clean up their penalties and red zone offense, most importantly. If they can improve in just one of these areas, the team is going to succeed on Sunday night. One of the main issues with their opponent, the San Francisco 49ers, is their insane roster and coaching.
The 49ers are a true Super Bowl contender, and now that Jimmy Garoppolo will likely be the quarterback for the rest of the season. If Denver wants to beat this NFC powerhouse, they’re going to need to rely on a few players to have a big game for the team.
Players who need a big game for the Broncos against the 49ers
Garett Bolles, LT
Garett Bolles needs to play out of his mind on Sunday. He’ll likely be responsible for neutralizing Nick Bosa, who is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, regardless of age. The fourth-year player already has three sacks on the 2022 season and had 15.5 last year coming off a torn ACL.
Bolles has shown how good he can be. His All-Pro 2020 season was something special, and his 2021 was still very good, even if he regressed a bit. Bolles may never return to his 2020 form, but as we in Broncos Country have seen for years, he has spurts where he plays like an elite tackle.
Garett Bolles has the potential to be able to do this. Perhaps this is a game where he’s a brick wall. If not, Russell Wilson might have his hands full with Nick Bosa.
