The Denver Broncos will match up against the Seattle Seahawks in week one of the 2022 NFL season. Who will be the team’s MVP in this game?  The Broncos are favored in this game and should win it by at least a touchdown.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Denver struggles throughout the game, as having a brand new coaching staff and quarterback is something that’ll take some getting used to.  However, when it’s all said and done, the Broncos should come away with a statement victory here to kick off the new era.

Given the matchups on paper, who could we expect the MVP of the game to be?  Denver has an advantage on both sides of the ball and elite players who can cause massive havoc.  I would want to focus on the Broncos’ pass rushers and receivers.

Seattle’s cornerbacks lining up against Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy include Sidney Jones IV and Artie Burns.  Their left and right tackles include rookie Charles Cross and Jake Curhan, who is a well below-average player.

A good football team is able to neutralize a couple of players on their opponents’ team.  Seattle is likely going to try and take away Courtland Sutton, since he’s the Broncos’ best offensive weapon, and they’ll likely try and take away one of Denver’s two pass rushers in Randy Gregory and Bradley Chubb.

Bradley Chubb primarily lines up on the right side of the defense over the left tackle.  I’m not sure if that’ll be the case this ye

ar since Randy Gregory is a new player, but if that is still the case, I’d give the breakout performance prediction to Randy Gregory.

In fact, I think whoever is lining up over Seattle’s projected starter at right tackle, Jake Curhan will have themselves a day.  According to PFF, Curhan allowed four sacks in 2021 and earned a measly 54.0 grade.  The 2021 undrafted player started five games at right tackle in 2021 for the team.

He seems to be the weak point of their offensive line, and this issue will be even more magnified with Geno Smith under center, who is not a legitimate NFL quarterback.
