It’s never too early to look towards the future into the 2023 free agency period. Who could be dream targets for the Denver Broncos?  The Broncos looked to be adequately equipped in 2023 to sign a notable free agent or two if they wanted.

According to spotrac.com, the Broncos are projected to have about $25 million in cap space next offseason.  If that number ends up being accurate, Denver should be able to bring in a handful of free agents if they wanted.  They also might rather retain some of their in-house players, but we won’t know for sure until the 2022 season is over.

However, as of now, we can do have current lists of projected free agents, and I do think we can sort of project some 2023 needs that the Denver Broncos might be able to target next free agency.

Oh man, I would absolutely love it if Denver finally closed the door on this right tackle saga.  Jack Conklin is one of the best right tackles in the NFL.  The two-time All-Pro is in the last year of a three-year deal he signed with the Browns a couple of years ago.

He spent the first four years of his career with the Tennessee Titans before signing with Cleveland.  Conklin would be entering his age-29 season in 2023, so he’d still be young by offensive linemen standards.

He has missed significant time in two seasons but has stayed healthy besides that.  His second All-Pro nod came in 2020, so he hasn’t exactly fallen off, either.  Signing Conklin to pair with Garett Bolles would give the Denver Broncos two All-Pro tackles and would most definitely keep Russell Wilson upright as he wants.

Denver might have to fork over a pretty penny, but I think it’d be worth it for someone like Conklin.
