Three players the Broncos must slow down in week one

DK Metcalf, WR

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett make one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL.  Metcalf is an insane freak of nature, standing at 6’4″, weighing 235 pounds, and having sub 4.40 speed.  He’s averaging over 1,000 receiving yards per year during his first three seasons, and averages nearly 15 yards per reception.

He just signed a massive contract extension this offseason and might be one of the hardest players to cover in the NFL.  He’s the size of a tight end but has the speed of a cornerback and ties it all together with some nice route running.

Metcalf is another player who can burn the Denver Broncos on a deep reception.  No one in the secondary can come close to matching the size and physicality of Metcalf, so it’ll be a combination effort in order to keep him limited.

He’s never missed a game and has 29 career receiving touchdowns in the regular season.  Metcalf is a threat in every sense of the word and will make the Denver Broncos’ lives miserable on defense if the secondary cannot keep him limited.
