Broncos final roster prediction No. 4: Edge Rusher

This is possibly the most difficult spot to predict as there are so many different directions in which Paton could go in and if he does make a trade, it will likely come from this group.

What is difficult is that the Broncos have so many good options here but they just won’t be able to keep them all.

What is for sure is that the top four options are going to be Bradley Chubb, Randy Gregory, Nik Bonitto and Baron Browning. Jonathan Kongbo should be a fairly easy cut at this point but for the other three guys still on the roster, Malik Reed, Jonathon Cooper and Aaron Patrick, all bets are off.

Reed seems to be the odd man out in most of the roster predictions you will find. I personally think it would be a mistake to let him go or trade him. That said, it would be tough to part with Cooper after such a strong rookie season and Patrick, who brings unique skills on special teams.

Is there a world where all three of those guys make the final roster? Perhaps. But it’s not likely.

If I were in Paton’s shoes, the last guy of the three that I would cut would be Reed. But it does seem to be the direction that things are heading.

Prediction: Jonathon Cooper and Aaron Patrick make the final roster, Malik Reed is cut or traded
