3 questions Denver Broncos must answer before 2022 season

Are the Broncos comfortable with their current receivers?

When Tim Patrick went down with a torn ACL, that prompted the Denver Broncos to evaluate the team’s receiver situation with a closer eye.  Right now, the top three receivers on the depth chart are likely to be Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and KJ Hamler, which is a very good trio.

However, there are hardly any players behind them on the depth chart that have proven much at all.  Kendall Hinton, Montrell Washington, Seth Williams, Brandon Johnson, Trey Quinn, (inhales to catch breath), Darrius Shepherd, Tyrie Cleveland, and Jalen Virgil.

Montrell Washington and Kendall Hinton have appeared to have played well enough to earn a roster spot, but that’s only five receivers.  The Broncos could very easily keep seven, but would they be comfortable with trotting out three proven receivers, and four unproven ones?

I don’t really think so, and I think they might consider making a move before the season.  There appears to be some smoke between the team and Jalen Reagor, who may be a “bust” as a first-round pick, but has some talent that Coach Z might be able to develop more.
