3 distinct advantages the Denver Broncos have in the AFC West

Easiest schedule in the AFC West

I’ve mentioned the Denver Broncos’ schedule many times so far. They have the easiest schedule in the division. The Chiefs have the fifth hardest schedule, the Raiders have the seventh hardest schedule, and the Chargers have the 10th hardest schedule.

The Broncos have the 15th hardest, which is nearly right in the middle. So, for all intents and purposes, they have a schedule of average difficulty for 2022. I think once we get late into the season, we’ll see if the Broncos can pull away from their divisional rivals.

Denver’s games before their bye week are mostly very easy, so there is a scenario where we could see the team take the early lead in the AFC West. The real challenge will indeed be to finish the season, where Denver has a nasty slate of games. However, if they’re able to take the lead early in the season with their easier slate, we could see the team’s schedule turn out to be a nice advantage.

Russell Wilson’s sustained success in the NFL has likely led his Seahawks’ teams to have some brutal schedules, but with only one career losing season, I would take the team’s chances when they run into some tougher games.
