Darrius Shepherd, Wide Receiver

One of the 13 wide receivers on the roster will almost assuredly go and though Darrius Shepherd has some familiarity with Hackett due to their time together in Green Bay, he has spent the least amount of time on the roster, having signed after the season-ending injury suffered by Tim Patrick.

Shepherd appeared in the game against the Cowboys and was targeted three times, catching two passes for 11 yards. But Shepherd is in a tough spot having joined the team late and most of the other wide receivers looked good on Saturday night, including Jalen Virgil, Brandon Johnson, Seth Williams and Kendall Hinton.

Kaden Davis seems to be facing long odds to make the team but the Broncos did allow him to return one punt on Saturday night and the fact that he has been the first guy out for practice basically every day of training camp has likely endeared him to the coaching staff at least a little bit.
