Denver Broncos trade packages for Roquan Smith

Quinn Meinerz, Montrell Washington, Josey Jewell, 2nd round pick (’24)

The second offer for Roquan Smith is three players and one draft pick.

To be honest, I have no idea at all if these offers would get Ryan Poles to pick up the phone, but I am simply looking at the Bears’ roster to identify where their biggest needs are at.

Their offensive line needs help; that’s been established, and they could use another pass catcher.

Montrell Washington has looked stellar in training camp.  The rookie is likely to make the roster, and Quinn Meinerz is the Broncos’ starting right guard as of now.

I included the other starting inside linebacker, Josey Jewell, in the deal because Griffith was in the last one.

Poles gets a higher draft pick in 2024 and three potential instant impact players.  Justin Fields gets a bit more protection in Meinerz and a new weapon in Montrell Washington.

Part of me thinks this wouldn’t be enough of an offer, but I like this one more than the previous one because the team isn’t giving away a ton of capital.
