The 2022 regular season is just weeks away from kicking off for the Denver Broncos, and it will be one that could be quite the rollercoaster ride for fans of the team.

It’s well documented that the Denver Broncos have fallen from the grace that fans became so accustomed to for so many years. The team has fallen on some hard times and success has been difficult to come by.

The prevailing thought from most is that will start to turn around this coming season with Russell Wilson now leading the team at quarterback.

But things won’t come easy. The team will have several hurdles to clear and obstacles to overcome. The Broncos will compete in their first preseason game of the year this Saturday night and there will be plenty to watch in that one. That will be the beginning of a brand new journey for this team.

Here are the biggest issues the team will have to deal with this coming season.

Biggest issues facing Broncos in 2022: Right tackle

It was clear going into the offseason that the Broncos may have a bit of a hole at the right tackle position, which is why they signed veterans Tom Compton and Billy Turner to help fill it. But both of those players have been hobbled since training camp started.

That leaves Calvin Anderson as the starting right tackle to this point, even if he might not be the best option.

The Broncos are going to want to protect Wilson at all costs, especially with the way he likes to hang onto the ball sometimes a bit too long and use his mobility to make plays.

Whether it is Anderson or the Broncos looking in another direction, this is going to be a position where there could be some issues all season long.
