Players the Broncos could lose after 2022: Dalton Risner, Guard

It is going to be an incredibly interesting season for Dalton Risner, who happens to be one of the most popular players on the team due to his hometown roots. But with a new coaching staff and a general manager that did not draft him, he could definitely be in a new uniform sooner than later.

In fact, I identified him as a player the Broncos could trade before the season even starts.

The reason for that is because the Broncos are in a great spot at the guard spot with Graham Glasgow, Quinn Meinerz, and Netane Muti on the roster and even Ben Braden, who is flying a bit under the radar.

Risner, as a former second-round pick, is a guy that Paton could see a potential return in due to his high draft status. He will be an unrestricted free agent at year’s end and in order to get a new contract with the team, he will have his work cut out for him.

Fans will definitely be rooting for him, but guys like Meinerz and Muti seem to have as much, if not more of a future in Denver than he does. Risner will have to prove that he belongs this year or if he’s not traded, he could easily be allowed to walk after this year.
