Three lofty goals for the Denver Broncos in 2022: Don’t just make the playoffs, win a game and get past the Wild Card round

The last goal might be the hardest for the team to accomplish.  Making the playoffs, which is a likely event that Broncos Country gets to experience, is going to feel so, so good after six years of not making it.

However, while most in the fanbase might just accept making the playoffs as a successful season in year one with a new quarterback and coaching staff, I think the last goal I would unofficially set for the team is for them to win a playoff game.

There is a chance, probably a pretty decent one, that the Broncos make the playoffs as the fifth or sixth Wild Card seed and have to travel somewhere for their playoff game.

It would be an incredibly tough environment, and winning a game in that environment would be outstanding.

I’m very high on the Broncos for 2022–I genuinely, truly believe they can win the whole thing.  I’ve written about why and am sticking to it.

Others, maybe most in the fanbase might be OK with simply seeing a playoff berth after six years of losing.  That’s understandable as well–baby steps, perhaps.

I think the Broncos have a top-five quarterback, a stellar defense, a good enough offensive line, and excellent weapons.

They have everything a team needs to win the big game.

Everything.
