Tim Patrick carted off the field at Denver Broncos training camp
Injuries at training camp are the absolute worst. Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick went down at practice and was carted off the field.
It’s only the sixth practice of Denver Broncos training camp, and we already might have some horrible injury news. Wide receiver Tim Patrick was carted off the field at practice and helped into the training room.
This is horrendous news.
Tim Patrick just signed a contract extension last year and has been one of the Denver Broncos’ very best offensive weapons since 2019.
A former undrafted player, Patrick worked his way from the practice squad and into the starting lineup.
He’s become an integral part of the team and everyone was excited to see what he could do with Russell Wilson at the helm.
Unfortunately, as of right now, we have no idea the severity of the injury. We have seen players get carted off only to miss a week or two, and we’ve seen other situations where being carted off means a lost season.
It’s impossible to know until tests get run and that will come with time.
There’s certainly nothing about getting carted off the field that indicates good news, though.
We wish the best for Tim Patrick, who has become a fan favorite, and rightfully so.
What will the Denver Broncos do if Tim Patrick misses significant time?
The Denver Broncos just saw KJ Hamler come back yesterday off the PUP (physically unable to perform) list, but he’s expected to be limited until the start of the regular season as he works back from a knee/hip injury from last year.
Looking at the depth chart as a whole, the Broncos’ depth doesn’t seem to be bad at wide receiver by any means, but Patrick’s presence on the outside was huge for everyone.
Guaranteed to make the roster:
- Courtland Sutton
- Jerry Jeudy
- KJ Hamler
Fighting for spots (top contenders)
- Kendall Hinton
- Tyrie Cleveland
- Montrell Washington
Fighting for spots (strong OTAs/camp needed)
- Trey Quinn
- Travis Fulgham
- Seth Williams
There are certainly options for the Denver Broncos to consider as far as free agency and trades. We’ll explore those in the near future and have already taken a look at the idea of signing veteran Will Fuller.
Top 3 players who stood out on Day 5 of Denver Broncos training camp
It's Day 5 of Denver Broncos training camp, and the team put on some shoulder pads the day before the first padded practice. Who stood out?
We’ll have more on this situation as it develops. For the time being, prayers and well wishes for Tim Patrick.
