Broncos trade McTelvin Agim
The Broncos took McTelvin Agim with the 95th overall selection of the 2020 draft and he just hasn’t done anything for the team. That could be because Vic Fangio and his staff just didn’t believe in him or it could be that he just isn’t that good.
With a new coaching staff, Agim will be a player that will have to sink or swim quickly. But because he wasn’t a Paton draft pick, it wouldn’t be as hard to cut bait and see what they can get for him.
The team could choose to keep Mike Purcell and DeShawn Williams on the roster and move on from the former third-round pick. Agim likely wouldn’t command much more than a day three pick in return but if he can’t be traded, his roster spot becomes tricky.
He is, at least right now, not a better player than Purcell but it’s tough for a team to just cut a former third-round pick after just two seasons. But in those two seasons, he’s suited up for just 17 games and has 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
He was a frequent gameday inactive for Fangio.
Unless he’s going to have a much more significant role with this new regime, why not see what you can get for him?
