Who were some players that stood out for the Denver Broncos during Day 2 of the team’s training camp?

The Denver Broncos continued to get to work during Day 2 of training camp. From what it sounded like, there were quite a number of players that had a solid day.

Training camp reps are basically a catch-22. On one hand, it’s quite a sight to see when your starting quarterback throws an absolute dot to a wide receiver.

On the other hand, interceptions or what-would-be sacks are electrifying.

There were some players on each side of the ball that stood out on Day 2. Let’s examine three of them…

#1 player that stood out on Day 2 of Denver Broncos training camp: CB Patrick Surtain II

It’s no surprise that Patrick Surtain II is already showing out at Denver Broncos training camp. He came into the league as a top-10 selection and has been nothing short of fantastic.

That continued on Thursday:

Surtain should be the team’s best cornerback for years to come. To be able to live up to top-10 pick status has got to be a difficult thing to do.

It’s incredible that we’re seeing such high-level play from a guy entering just his second NFL season.

To be honest, by season’s end, it would not shock me if national media actually takes note of Surtain more often. We got to see some recognition from several outlets.

When you hear someone ask the question about whether or not Patrick Surtain was the right pick over Justin Fields, soon, doubters could be changing their tune.
