The Denver Broncos are heading into training camp in very good shape, even in the loaded AFC West. They should be glad they do not have this issue, though.

The Denver Broncos have been an irrelevant football team since winning the Super Bowl in the 2015 season.

For six years, they floated between mediocre and flat-out embarrassing.  For fans who watched a majority of the games, there were a few weeks where we got a bit encouraged by what we saw, only for the team to then snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The Denver Broncos had one major and obvious issue on their roster for a long time, and it’s an issue that many teams across the NFL are currently going through.

Some teams will go decades without solving this issue, while some teams will enjoy decades of success avoiding this issue.

The Denver Broncos finally have a franchise quarterback, and for the first time in over five years, they do not have a single question about this position for the foreseeable future.

As we know, the NFL franchise quarterback is the single most important position in all of sports.  NFL general managers often hinge their success and failure on these players, and a bunch of teams across the NFL go through this process each and every season.

Many teams not named the Denver Broncos will enter into the “quarterback competition” season.  Fans will pay close attention to this battle like us fans did for years.

It’s both an exciting and often depressing time for these fanbases,

Many teams in the AFC currently have long-term quarterback questions and are in worse situations than the Denver Broncos.

Teams with long-term quarterback questions include the Steelers, Browns, Colts, Jaguars, Texans, Titans, Dolphins, and Jets.

Eight teams in the AFC either do not have their franchise quarterback question answered, or have long-term questions about the position.

The Denver Broncos acquiring Russell Wilson is something that I think even some of Broncos Country is underrating a bit.

Even entering year 11 and his age-34 season, Russell Wilson is likely to provide stability to the position for the next 5-8 years at least.  He will likely be given a hefty contract extension next offseason and will begin to cement his legacy in Denver.

Be relieved.
