Denver Broncos Wide Receiver K.J. Hamler

Now, starting off training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list is not a great way to prove doubters wrong, but the Denver Broncos are trying to keep wide receiver K.J. Hamler from aggravating his knee injury that he suffered last year, resulting in him missing the majority of the season.

Hamler tore his ACL in September of 2021 against the New York Jets. Hamler has a lot of speed and potential to be a really big weapon for the Broncos, but his injury length is unfortunately very long.

The big concern with Hamler is obviously the long, long list of injuries he has suffered throughout his football career, even dating back to his college days at Penn State.

Since he suffered another injury to the leg area, the fear is that he just won’t have that spark that we have seen in the past. It’s not often a player can return to his old form after knee injuries, and the number of injuries Hamler has had is very concerning.

All we want is the K.J. Hamler that was able to make this play happen. Hopefully, we will be able to witness Hamler’s big-play ability throughout the entire 2022 season and beyond.

Do I think that Hamler’s roster spot is in jeopardy? Absolutely not. The team does not appear to be interested in trading any of their wide receiver options. He could lose out on snaps, though.
