5. Who is actually starting on the Denver Broncos offensive line?
Is the Denver Broncos’ offensive line an area of concern in 2022?
I have gotten this question or issue brought up quite a bit in the offseason, and I think it’s safe to say the Broncos have no reason to be “concerned” about the offensive line.
They just need to figure out quickly who is going to be starting.
In no particular order, here are the plethora of players vying for a starting job on the offensive line for the Broncos in 2022:
- Garett Bolles
- Dalton Risner
- Lloyd Cushenberry
- Quinn Meinerz
- Calvin Anderson
- Billy Turner
- Tom Compton
- Netane Muti
- Luke Wattenberg
- Graham Glasgow
- Ben Braden
- Quinn Bailey
That’s 12 players right there vying for five spots.
Now, at this point, I think it’s safe to assume that three of these jobs are going to be filled.
Garett Bolles is your starting left tackle.
Quinn Meinerz is probably your starting right guard.
Lloyd Cushenberry is probably your starting center.
While Bolles’ name can be put in Sharpie, the other two maybe just put in pencil for the time being. But with Billy Turner potentially starting training camp on the PUP list, and Graham Glasgow also working his way back from injury, we could project the starting five — as of right now — to be:
Bolles, Risner, Cushenberry, Meinerz, Anderson.
That’s how I see camp opening up. But how will it close?
That’s one of the biggest questions facing this team ahead of training camp and it’s going to be fascinating to see how Hackett and company make those decisions.
