Dennis Smith, safety: 14 seasons (1981-1994)

Another player who spent his entire career in Denver, Smith was drafted in the first round of the 1981 NFL draft and over the course of the next 14 seasons, he made the Pro Bowl six times and was easily one of the best safeties in all of football.

Known for his hard-hitting style and natural instincts, Smith was one of the best players in team history. Though Steve Atwater in the Broncos’ safety from that era  who was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Smith has a resume that should someday be considered for enshrinement as well.

Paul Howard, guard: 14 seasons (1973-1986)

Often forgotten because of the position he played, Paul Howard was one of the toughest, most consistent players in team history. A third-round pick out of BYU in 1973, Howard played in 187 games for the team.

Only one offensive lineman in team history played in more games for the team.
