Broncos training camp storylines: The position battles

One of the main things to look for at training camp is the specific position battles that are going to help shape the roster. The Broncos have no shortage of those heading into camp.

The offensive line has already been touched on. On the other side of the ball, the inside linebacker position is going to be one to watch. The Broncos brought back Josey Jewell but they also signed Alex Singleton through free agency and Jonas Griffith seems to have a beat on a starting job as well.

There is also the outside linebacker/edge rusher spot where the team has a plethora of options. Bradley Chubb will be back to team with Randy Gregory, the team’s big free-agent acquisition this offseason. Bonitto was added through the draft and plans are calling for Baron Browning to play some on the outside this season.

But the Broncos still have Malik Reed, the subject of some trade rumors, and second-year player Jonathon Cooper. There are definitely going to be some tough decisions to make here.

Then you have the wide receiver spot and if the Broncos keep five or six wide receivers, those last spots are going to be hotly contested.
