3 biggest things to root for at Denver Broncos training camp
What to root for at Denver Broncos training camp: Clarity on the OL as early as possible
Going into the 2022 season, one area of the Denver Broncos’ depth chart that is relatively unclear at this point is the offensive line.
Garett Bolles will be the team’s left tackle, of course.
At left guard, there will be competition between Dalton Risner, Netane Muti, possibly Billy Turner, and maybe veteran Graham Glasgow.
Nobody has been healthy enough to compete with Lloyd Cushenberry III at the center position, so perhaps we should just expect the status quo there.
At right guard, Quinn Meinerz is expected to win the job and there may not even be a competition.
At right tackle, Calvin Anderson could be the favorite at this point but he will have competition from Billy Turner and maybe veteran Tom Compton.
Russell Wilson struggled for many years with a porous offensive line in Seattle, and that’s not something the Denver Broncos really want to have to deal with in the 2022 offseason.
Figuring out who the best five are for the offensive line as quickly as possible will be essential. The Broncos don’t need to drag out competitions just for the sake of it.
Hopefully, this coaching staff has a plan in place, and if they do have any elongated competitions at specific positions, it’s because there are truly multiple starting-caliber options.
