Von Miller, who signed a six-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in the 2022 offseason, still refers to the Denver Broncos as “we”.

It feels like more than just a few months ago that the Denver Broncos decided not to pursue a reunion in free agency with Von Miller, who ended up signing a massive six-year, $120 million deal with the Buffalo Bills.

Miller, entering his age 33 season, proved after he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams that he was still worthy of that kind of contract, even if the size and length of it is more for cap purposes than actual money in Miller’s pocket.

Just before the Denver Broncos traded for Russell Wilson, Miller was on social media campaigning for a possible return to the Mile High City.

It was tough enough just to know that Miller coming back to the Broncos was a possibility. It made it even tougher that the Denver Broncos ended up passing on that opportunity knowing that Miller wanted it to happen.

The Broncos obviously went a different direction and signed free agent Randy Gregory, who is four years younger than Miller and will now be expected to be better than Miller, at least this season.

Whether those comparisons are right or wrong, that’s the reality of things at this point. The Broncos could have had Von Miller back and Miller wanted to be back, but general manager George Paton and the rest of the front office went a different direction.

Still, it seems there are anything but hard feelings on Miller’s end.

He’s still referring to the Denver Broncos using “we” language.

What makes this video tug at the heartstrings even more is the fact that Miller starts off by using “they” language with the Denver Broncos but then corrects himself and over-emphasizes the “we” language.

One day, the former Super Bowl MVP and now two-time Super Bowl champion will retire as a member of the orange and blue.

He will be enshrined into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame.

He’ll go into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Miller will go down as the best defensive player in Denver Broncos history and there’s no question he’s one of the most beloved players in team history.

Number 58 jerseys will be able to be seen in Denver forever. Miller is immortalized in Broncos Country regardless of what he’s going to do in 2022 and beyond.

What’s really interesting about this is the way other players have come to Denver and adopted the “we” language. Most notably, we have seen that from Peyton Manning, who was obviously with the Indianapolis Colts for a lot longer than he was with the Broncos.

The Broncos seem to be Peyton’s “we” at this point.

Things could change if Miller spends four years or more with the Bills, but at this point, he still bleeds orange and blue.

You love to see it, as painful as it is he won’t be running out of the tunnel at Mile High anymore.
