Denver Broncos ugliest uniform in team history: 1960 throwbacks

Wow.

Just, wow.

It’s hard to believe the Denver Broncos’ 1960 throwbacks and the New England Patriots’ elite level throwback uniforms were ever allowed to grace the same field.

Where do we even start here?

Let’s start where everyone is thinking: The socks.

This take on vertically striped socks is hilariously bad, made even worse by the color scheme of brown and yellow.

Moving up to the pants, where the stripes down the side of the uniform do not, even in the slightest, match up with the stripes on the socks. There is no congruence.

With deepest apologies to any Wyoming Cowboys fans, this overall color scheme completely prevents your football team from being taken seriously, at least when worn in this particular way.

There are ways to make brown, yellow, gray, and white all look good together on a football uniform, and. Wyoming has figured out ways to do that.

Heck, even the Denver Broncos found a way in 2009 with these throwbacks when they wore the white top version, which actually look pretty amazing.

I actually don’t hate the yellow tops on these uniforms but with everything else involved, these are just completely unpleasant to look at.

Not to mention, everyone associates the Denver Broncos with orange and blue, not brown and yellow.

There’s really nothing about these uniforms that has any historic meaning or significance that is worth bringing back onto the field.

It only served to make the team look silly.

Thankfully, the Broncos were able to get a win wearing these uniforms, so there’s at least some positive association with them.
