Denver Broncos matchups in 2022 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Maxx Crosby VS Billy Turner

Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby may be the most underrated player in the NFL. If you’re a Broncos fan you can’t deny that as he is constantly making plays against the team.

Last year alone he had four sacks and six quarterback hits against Denver alone. Crosby has actually had a sack in every game except one (first career game) against the Broncos. At just 24 years old he seems to be a thorn for years to come.

The Broncos have had a revolving door at the right tackle position and that will continue again this year, except with a familiar face.

After a few years in Green Bay, Billy Turner is returning and likely penciled in to be the day one starter. Turner is a real quality starter in the league and hopefully can bring some stability to the position and hopefully slow done the nightmare that is Crosby.

Davante Adams VS Patrick Surtain II

The main event of matchups is here and it involves maybe the best wide receiver against a young shut-down cornerback.

With Aaron Rodgers the last few seasons Adams has been nearly unstoppable, pulling in 100+ catches, 1300+ yards, and double-digit touchdowns the last two years.

Now he joins his college quarterback and the chemistry seems to be there for another huge year for Adams.

PS2 is coming off a rookie year that many people are raving about, even Richard Sherman saying Surtain’s tape is “teach tape”.  Surtain only allowed a 51% completion percentage, 11.1 yards per catch, and picked the ball off four times in his rookie year.

That’s just the start of it. Surtain has the ability to become the best cornerback in the entire league and with Adams in the rivalry that’s a huge thing. This matchup will have the magnitude of Ali vs. Frazier for both games next season.
