Difficult roster decision for Broncos No. 5: Edge rusher

The Broncos have placed a huge focus on the outside linebacker/EDGE rusher spot heading into this season, adding Randy Gregory through free agency and Nik Bonitto in the draft.

With a healthy Bradley Chubb, the Broncos should be able to generate a fierce pass rush. The decision to move second-year linebacker Baron Browning is an interesting one and then the team still has Malik Reed and Jonathon Cooper, who quietly had a great rookie season.

Aaron Patrick and undrafted free agent Christopher Allen round out perhaps the deepest position group on this roster, placing a lot of pressure on the coaching staff to pick the best guys.

All of these guys have the ability to make the team so there will no doubt be some difficult decisions made. Chubb, Gregory, Bonitto and Browning are going to be on the team.

Reed is way too good for the team to just cut and that is why he has been the subject of recent trade rumors. Patrick can be a special teams ace and Allen is a popular pick to make the roster despite being undrafted after his college playing career at Alabama.
