Broncos’ 2022 projected sacks leader: Randy Gregory

The Broncos have made pass-rushing a priority in the post-Von Miller era and that is why Paton went out and signed Randy Gregory to a huge free-agent deal while also using his first pick in this year’s draft on Nik Bonitto.

If healthy for a full season, I do believe that Bradley Chubb will be the team’s 2022 sack leader. However, based on his injury history and his inability to stay healthy for a full season, I will give the nod to Gregory, who could benefit from teams placing too much focus on Chubb.

Gregory has never had more than six sacks in a season and based on his troubled past, the Broncos certainly took a risk in signing him. But he should have a larger role than he ever had in Dallas and could easily post double-digit sack numbers on the season.

The Broncos will also get contributions from Bonitto, Baron Browning, Jonathon Cooper and Malik Reed, if they don’t decide to trade him.

This could be one of the league’s top pass-rushing groups this season.
