Broncos’ 2022 projected rushing leaders

Rushing yards: Javonte Williams

Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon split the rushing duties right down the middle last year and became one of the league’s best running back duos in the process. But 2022 is going to be Williams’ year.

The Broncos will still use plenty of Gordon but instead of a 50-50 split, it will probably be more like 60-40 or perhaps even more in the favor of Williams, who really has the ability to turn into one of the best young backs in all of football.

He should easily eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing mark this season.

Rushing touchdowns: Javonte Williams

Williams gets the nod here as well even though Gordon is solid inside the 5-yard line and could definitely score a handful of touchdowns this year.

But the Broncos are going to focus on Williams as the lead back (or at least they should) and he should stay on the field in goal-to-go situations.

Williams could easily cross the goal line 10 times this year.
