The 2022 NFL season is setting up to be an exciting one for the Denver Broncos.

For the past six years, the Broncos have been a team that has not only missed the playoffs but also has had a hard time putting points on the scoreboard.

With the addition of Russell Wilson at quarterback, that should all start to change. The Broncos are expected to be a team that pushes for the playoffs in 2022 and is much more offensively efficient.

On defense, general manager George Paton has loaded up on pass-rushers while building a solid core at each positional unit.

New head coach Nathaniel Hackett will be installing a new system and philosophy for the team, one that fans hope will begin to breed a new winning tradition under the team’s new ownership.

The Broncos are going to get contributions from all 53 players on the roster and likely some of those who don’t make the initial roster as well. But who are going to be this season’s leaders?

It seems pretty obvious that Wilson will lead the team in every passing category, but here are some predictions for the other areas of the game.

Who will lead the Broncos in receptions in 2022?

Denver Broncos, Courtland Sutton

This is an interesting question due to the way Wilson spreads the ball around to all of his targets in the passing game, every wide receiver, tight end and even running back should thrive in this passing game.

But I’ll go with Courtland Sutton here.

Sutton is a big target in the passing game and Wilson could use him the way he did D.K. Metcalf in Seattle. Jerry Jeudy should also see a major increase in the numbers he has posted thus far in his career as well and he could easily be the answer to this question.
