Reason Denver Broncos could finish last place no. 1: Offensive line doesn’t hold up

At this particular point in time, I don’t think the offensive line for the Denver Broncos is cause for concern.

There are plenty of NFL-caliber linemen on the roster and guys that have started meaningful games in the league at multiple positions.

Not only should the Broncos be able to assemble a strong group of five starters, but they should have good depth all year long.

With that being said, there are currently only two solidified projected starters up front in left tackle Garett Bolles and right guard Quinn Meinerz.

Nobody knows at this point whether or not Dalton Risner is going to be able to hold off Netane Muti, Billy Turner, or maybe Graham Glasgow at the left guard spot.

Lloyd Cushenberry III doesn’t seem in danger of losing his job at this point in time but we’ll see what training camp brings.

The right tackle spot continues to be a revolving door for the Denver Broncos and even with Calvin Anderson projected as the starter there, it remains a question mark.

Far too often when he was in Seattle, we saw Russell Wilson reap the repercussions of a bad offensive line in front of him.

The Denver Broncos, who have blatantly passed on offensive tackles in the last two draft classes, have no reason or excuse to not have the best possible line in front of their new franchise quarterback.

If the offensive line doesn’t hold up over the course of the season, it’s possible this Denver Broncos team could suffer the consequences as it relates to where they finish in the AFC West.
