Denver Broncos fantasy football star no. 3: Courtland Sutton, WR

45. Scouting Report. WR. CourtlandSutton. 2021 fantasy points: 150.24. 3. player. Pick Analysis

Of all the receivers on the Denver Broncos’ roster, I think that Courtland Sutton has the most obvious history of true WR1 type of production as a fantasy football option.

I think Sutton has the best chance of winning the receiver “triple crown” for the Broncos this year, leading the team in:

  • Receptions
  • Receiving yards
  • Receiving touchdowns

After signing a big-money extension last year, Sutton is poised to have a second “breakout” year with the Broncos in 2022 and I think he will be Russell Wilson’s favorite target, averaging 10-12 targets per week.

That’s just a prediction, but it makes sense. Sutton is the team’s “alpha” at the position and I think we’re going to see one of the most dominant seasons from him that we’ve seen from a receiver since the late, great Demaryius Thomas was in his prime.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Sutton crack the 100 reception mark with over 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.

I think there’s no doubt — he’s going to get you consistent WR1 type of production this season and in a worst-case scenario, high-end WR2 numbers.
