Denver Broncos fantasy football star no. 5: Tim Patrick, WR

player. Scouting Report. WR. 2021 fantasy points: 156.4. TimPatrick. 5. Pick Analysis. 45

We open up this top five list with wide receiver Tim Patrick, a player I believe is poised for his best fantasy football season yet.

Tim Patrick has been the Denver Broncos’ receiving touchdowns leader over the last two seasons and there’s no reason to believe he’ll be slowing down in 2022.

Patrick posted 156.4 fantasy points last season (yes, in PPR leagues. Why even play anything else?) for an average of just over 9 points per week.

That’s barely FLEX worthy in a more shallow fantasy league but is certainly acceptable as an alternate FLEX option in deeper leagues of 12 or more teams.

Since we’re essentially predicting statistics here, I am going to go out on a limb and say that Tim Patrick catches at least 55 passes for close to 900-1,000 yards and seven or eight touchdowns.

What makes Tim Patrick worth drafting in pretty much any format of league? He’s going to get a lot of looks in the red zone, in my opinion.

Not only that but Patrick — like any receiver on the Broncos — is worth putting on your roster as a FLEX option because of the fact that he could lead the team in receiving any given week.

I think unlike in years prior, Patrick’s production will be a bit more steady.
