Broncos who could be traded before the start of the 2022 season: Dalton Risner

Sticking with the offensive line, Dalton Risner is another player that the team could choose to part ways with, for many of the same reasons Cushenberry made this list.

Risner was a second-round pick in 2019 and has been one of the team’s starting guards ever since, but the Broncos have good depth at the position and Risner did seem to take a step back in 2021.

With young players Meinerz and Netane Muti pushing for playing time and the addition of Ben Braden, the team may feel it has enough at the position beyond Risner.

Though this decision would not be a popular one due to Risner’s hometown roots, it is one that remains a possibility.

If Risner is not going to be good enough to be one of the team’s starters in 2022 combined with the fact that he is another player that was not drafted by Paton, the team could decide to turn him for some kind of a return while that window remains open.
