The Denver Broncos came out of the 2022 NFL Draft with nine new players but which one will have the biggest impact as a rookie?

Much of that will depend on how much each rookie gets worked into the system this year. Generally, the players picked higher in the draft are the ones that get that shot first.

Chad Reuter of NFL.com recently compiled an Offensive All-Rookie Team for the 2022 season and he has one Denver Broncos player making that team.

That would be third-round pick Greg Dulcich, the team’s new tight end.

Though Dulcich is projected to be the team’s No. 2 tight end behind presumed starter Albert Okwuegbunam, he figures to be a big part of the offense as a rookie. Okwuegbunam has never been the No. 1 option either and will slide into that role following the trade of Noah Fant, so it is not inconceivable to think that Dulcich could eventually overtake him on the depth chart.

Dulcich just seems like a Russell Wilson guy as well.

Dulcich was the third tight end taken in this year’s draft behind Tre McBride and Jelani Woods. It was a pick I was not completely in favor of either as I argued here that linebacker Nakobe Dean should have been the choice.

But the fact that Reuter has Dulcich on this team ahead of McBride is a positive sign and one that, if it were to come to fruition, could show that this pick was actually a steal for Denver.

Dulcich only caught 77 passes in his college career at UCLA but he had a big 2021 season in which he reeled in 42 passes and averaged over 17 yards per catch. If he can show that he has good, consistent hands, he could really stretch a defense down the seams for the Broncos.

Reuter also made up an All-Rookie squad for both defense and special teams and he has Broncos fifth-round pick Montrell Washington making the special teams squad as a kick returner.
