Danny Kanell. player. . . QB. 1. 45.

After a successful college career at Florida State, Danny Kanell was selected in the fourth round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the Giants. He spent three years there before another two with the Falcons.

But his NFL career began to look like it was over, especially when he went to the Arena Football League in 2002, playing with the New York Dragons.

The following season, the Broncos brought him into camp to see what he still had and he won a roster spot as the team’s No. 3 quarterback. However, he was cut during the season.

That was until both Plummer and Beuerlein went down with injuries, the team was forced to bring Kanell back and he actually started two games during the 2003 season. He lost both of those starts while throwing two touchdowns and five interceptions.

It was clear that Kanell was a bit out of place in those games he started for the Broncos and he really was one of the most random quarterbacks the team ever had, but that is what makes lists like this one fun.

Next. How would this trade work out for the Broncos?. dark

The Broncos parted ways with Kanell following the 2004 season and that is when his playing career came to a close. He would later work for ESPN as an on-air personality.
