Denver Broncos on thin ice no. 1: Graham Glasgow, Guard

The Denver Broncos restructured the contract of right guard Graham Glasgow this offseason following a year in which he played in just seven games before breaking his leg.

The bad news for Glasgow is that the Broncos have addressed the offensive line this offseason, adding Ben Braden, Billy Turner, and Tom Compton. Turner is expected to start at right tackle, but he has experience playing guard in the NFL. If Glasgow does not perform well enough this offseason, he could find himself looking over his shoulder.

Denver has been experimenting with different combinations on the offensive line, trying to find the best five players to start in 2022. We know that Garett Bolles is locked in at left tackle, and we can assume that Dalton Risner will remain as the left guard.

It is also possible that Glasgow gets outplayed by Netane Muti.

It appears that there are competitions around the other three positions on the offensive line, and that’s a good thing. Whether or not there are changes at center (Lloyd Cushenberry/Luke Wattenberg) or right guard (Glasgow/Turner?), competition is going to be at an all-time high on the offensive line.

The experience will be good for the younger players, as Glasgow won’t be around forever. I think it would be smart if they got those players more game reps, preparing for the future.
