Denver Broncos post-OTAs roster prediction on DL

Defensive line: 6 (34/53)

  • Mike Purcell
  • Dre’Mont Jones
  • DJ Jones
  • McTelvin Agim
  • Eyioma Uwazurike
  • Matt Henningsen

Similar to the offensive line, the defensive line is just so hard to project until the pads come on and we start to see guys make plays.

It seems like Mike Purcell is ready for a resurgence after two years that were drastically affected by injuries.

Dre’Mont Jones is in a contract year for the team but he appears to be a long-term fixture, as does 2022 free agent acquisition DJ Jones.

The question marks will be behind those top three guys.

Who is going to step up?

2020 third-round pick McTelvin Agim has a chance to really be a key player this season because the fourth defensive lineman in this rotation is going to get a lot of snaps.

Eyioma Uwazurike could play a huge role as a rookie and so could 2022 sixth-round pick Matt Henningsen, an athletic freak who suffered a calf injury early in OTAs and hasn’t been on the field a ton yet.

The jury is out on this group until we see them make plays but the young guys are going to have to prove they can be more effective than guys like DeShawn Williams and Jonathan Harris who have been around much longer.
