Denver Broncos weakness no. 3: Clarity on the offensive line

It’s nice to have to be able to “reach” for areas of weakness, in a matter of speaking.

The Denver Broncos’ offensive line right now is currently just fine, in my opinion. The “weakness” here is that no one knows what the starting lineup is going to look like come September.

Is it nice to have depth across the board on the offensive line? Absolutely.

Garett Bolles will be the starting left tackle. We know that for sure.

It seems the consensus is that Quinn Meinerz will be the starting right guard. I think we can put that one down in ballpoint pen.

Other than assuming the incumbents will start again in 2022, we don’t know who will be starting at left guard and center, but the current players there are obviously Dalton Risner and Lloyd Cushenberry.

The revolving door at right tackle will welcome yet another new full-time starter this season as Bobby Massie was let go in free agency and the team brought in the likes of Billy Turner, Tom Compton, and Calvin Anderson to compete for that job.

Anderson seems to be the favorite at this point, but that could change when Turner is healthy.

Again, as of right now, there’s no clarity with the Broncos’ starting lineup on the offensive line and that’s a unit that you want (need?) to have chemistry going into the season.
