DaeSean Hamilton, Houston Texans

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but the headline does say the word could.

DaeSean Hamilton never materialized into the player the Broncos thought he could be when they drafted him in the fourth round in 2018, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t do that somewhere else.

He will have to prove that he is fully recovered from the torn ACL that kept him off the field for the entire 2021 season but if he can, there is a wide-open door of opportunity in Houston.

The Texans have Brandin Cooks and not much beyond that at the wide receiver position.

The team used a second-round pick on Alabama receiver John Metchie but outside of him and Cooks, the Texans have a pool of wide receivers who will be looking to make a name for themselves this summer.

If Hamilton can establish a rapport with quarterback Davis Mills, he could absolutely turn his career back onto the right path with his new team.

When he was healthy, he showed signs of being a productive receiver when with the Broncos, catching 81 passes in his short career there. He did seem to form a connection with Drew Lock and if he can do that with Mills, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him make this 53-man roster and produce for the Texans.
