Broncos who need a huge summer: Dalton Risner, Offensive line

This is a bit of a surprise pick, as Netane Muti could certainly be included here, but it is former second-round pick Dalton Risner that may need to step up the most.

The Broncos are quietly assembling some solid depth along the offensive line as Graham Glasgow, Muti and Quinn Meinerz will all be in competition with Risner for his starting job at guard.

The Broncos will have options at that position and that could extend over to center where Lloyd Cushenberry could also be pushed by either Glasgow or rookie Luke Wattenberg.

With so many options, the Broncos could entertain the idea of trading one of those players which could put a guy like Risner, who could bring back good value based on his high draft status just three years ago, on the block.

In order to get back on track, Risner needs to play more like he did in his first two seasons and less like he did in 2021 where he clearly regressed. How he fits into the offensive scheme that Nathaniel Hackett is going to bring with him could be the key to that and that could determine what Risner’s future in Denver looks like.
