Broncos who need a huge summer: McTelvin Agim, Defensive line

Many of the same things that Purcell will need to show also apply to McTelvin Agim, but the big difference between those two players is that Purcell has at least shown a body of work. Agim, a former third-round pick, has done next to nothing thus far in his career.

The previous regime clearly either had no confidence in him or didn’t know how to use him as he was often a gameday inactive.

For his career, Agim has played in 17 games and has 1.5 sacks to go with 12 total tackles. You would surely like to see better production out of a player drafted so high.

But teams also can’t hold onto players simply because they were drafted with a high pick. This coaching staff has no connection to Agim and it could simply be that he was just a bad draft pick. That happens more often than not and when it does, it’s best to just cut your losses.

Agim will obviously be given every chance to step up and make something happen, but he is going to have to drastically change the narrative that he has created for himself in his first two seasons.

Is there a world where both Purcell and Agim make the 53-man roster? Possibly, but I’d say no.
