Denver Broncos highest-paid QB of all-time no. 1: Peyton Manning

Career earnings: $248,732,000 (7th-most all-time)

It should come as no surprise that Peyton Manning is the highest-paid quarterback to ever wear the orange and blue. He not only ranks as one of the highest-earning quarterbacks of all-time in general but he’s also made more money as a Denver Bronco than any other QB on this list.

So far.

The Denver Broncos signed Peyton Manning in the 2012 offseason in what should go down as the greatest free agent signing perhaps across all of sports history.

Manning was immediately an MVP-caliber player for the Denver Broncos and in the 2013 season, he posted one of the most historic individual years you will ever see.

Every week was like Manning was playing Madden on rookie level. He threw seven touchdowns to open that season against the Baltimore Ravens, and threw 48 more after that.

Even though the Broncos were only able to win one Super Bowl in Manning’s four seasons with the team, they were viable contenders every single year and won two AFC Championships with no. 18 under center.

Manning has remained in Denver in the years since he stopped playing. He’s now in the Hall of Fame, Ring of Fame, and is one of the most beloved sports figures to ever play for a Denver team.

Most of Manning’s career earnings came from his many years with the Indianapolis Colts, where he used to torture the Denver Broncos and other teams.

The fact that he’s already down to 7th all-time on this list with other quarterbacks hot on his heels is astounding. Manning was one of the highest-earning QBs of his time and even that has already been outdated.
