Denver Broncos stud UDFA no. 2: Tyreik McAllister, RB

One of the undrafted free agents I think every Denver Broncos fan needs to be keeping their eyes on is running back Tyreik McAllister.

McAllister may come from the smallest school of any Denver Broncos player joining the team in 2022, and he’s also one of the smallest players on the team, period.

Still, the Denver Broncos gave McAllister $35,000 in total guaranteed money, which is usually a good sign that the team at least wants to keep a guy on the practice squad.

McAllister was the Mountain East Conference offensive player of the year last year and had a tremendous pro day.

  • 5-foot-9
  • 181 pounds
  • 4.39 40-yard dash
  • 36-inch vertical jump
  • 10’1″ broad jump
  • 6.95 three-cone

All of those numbers add up to a smaller back that has the ability to make you miss with speed, quickness, and agility.

He did that plenty at Charleston as well, obviously, earning the Conference OPoY award last season.

This play makes it look like no one else decided to move at the snap of the ball.

Although the playing field is evened up now that he’s in the NFL, McAllister has a chance to be a highly effective back in the wide zone offense with a similar projection maybe to someone like Matt Breida.
