Denver Broncos stud UDFA no. 3: Jalen Virgil, WR/KR

player. 2391. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR/KR. Appalachian State. JalenVirgil. 3

Speaking of potentially cracking the roster as a return man, the Denver Broncos landed one of the best at the FBS level in this regard as well.

Montrell Washington was outstanding at Samford at returning kicks and punts. Kaden Davis did it at Northwest Missouri State.

Jalen Virgil averaged over 30 yards per kickoff return in the Sun Belt Conference, which isn’t the SEC, but it’s at least at the FBS level.

This guy can move.

Virgil is a deep threat with an intriguing blend of size and speed. He’s not the tallest receiver but he’s built more like a running back than a receiver.

He’s 6-feet tall, 207 pounds, and runs a blazing 4.37 in the 40-yard dash. He also posted a 36.5-inch vertical jump and a 10’10” broad jump.

His combination of size, strength, explosiveness, and long speed all add up to a very dangerous open-field threat.

The Denver Broncos undoubtedly need more explosiveness in the return game and Virgil can provide exactly that.
