Denver Broncos stud UDFA no. 4: Kaden Davis, WR

I recently wrote about Kaden Davis and why I think he’s one of the undrafted players most likely to make a splash for the Denver Broncos.

The Northwest Missouri State product has outstanding speed and explosiveness at the receiver position. He’s an instinctive returner and playmaker who knows how to make people miss in space.

One of the primary reasons he has a shot at this Denver Broncos roster?

The vacancy in the return game.

Everyone (probably rightly) assumes that the Broncos will utilize draft pick Montrell Washington in the return game, but Washington is a fifth-round pick and is guaranteed absolutely nothing.

The Broncos made that abundantly clear when they brought in a player like Kaden Davis and another on this list — Jalen Virgil.

Davis is coming from a very small school. He isn’t quite as fast but his size and athletic profile is reminiscent of Trinity Benson, a player the Broncos unearthed out of East Central.

In case you — like most people — have never heard of East Central, it’s a small school in Oklahoma.

If you can play, the Broncos will find you, and at wide receiver, Zach Azzanni will develop you. Kaden Davis was one of the best players on his team at Northwest Missouri State, but the NFL is a new world.

He’ll have a major adjustment but he can absolutely make a splash, starting first and foremost as a punt returner.
