The Denver Broncos have some second-year players that will be battling for their roster lives this summer. Which 2021 Draft picks are on the bubble?

Cracking the Denver Broncos roster in 2022 is not going to be an easy task.

Although George Paton was awarded as having the best overall draft class in 2021, a number of the selections he and the rest of the Broncos’ front office made last year could be on the bubble after another strong offseason and draft class coming in.

A number of the players drafted in 2021 could just as easily have even bigger roles this year than they did a year ago, and that’s obviously what you’re hoping for.

Still, the path to the final roster is easier to see for some than others. Which 2021 NFL Draft picks for the Broncos are looking like they might be on the roster bubble to start the offseason?

Denver Broncos player on the bubble no. 1: Marquiss Spencer, DL

The Denver Broncos landed defensive lineman Marquiss Spencer in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Spencer was a little-known prospect to most people at the time he was drafted, even among many who cover the NFL Draft for a living.

Despite playing at Mississippi State, he flew under the radar.

Spencer may not have had consistently great production at Mississippi State, but he definitely had big moments, which the Broncos are hoping to turn into consistently big moments.

He has outstanding athleticism for a big man on the defensive front and there are certainly going to be openings for the Denver Broncos this year, but the competition has become rather stiff.

The Broncos used a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft on Eyioma Uwazurike and a sixth-round pick on Matt Henningsen, two players who figure to make the roster and contribute early on.

It’s possible that Spencer could get caught in the numbers game, but he could also force his way onto the roster with a strong camp and preseason.
