Three Denver Broncos likely to get paid next

3. Bradley Chubb, EDGE

I don’t think we need to get into the story of Bradley Chubb. When he played alongside Von Miller in 2018, during his rookie year, he was excellent, notching 12.5 sacks.

Since, he’s been inconsistent and struggling with injuries.

Chubb is still supremely talented and is getting one more shot to prove himself to the Denver Broncos.

George Paton did Chubb a favor when he signed Randy Gregory and D.J. Jones. It’s now up to Chubb to show that he can indeed be a premier or at least above-average pass rusher in the NFL.

Chubb may never live up to being the fifth overall draft pick in 2018, but he still has a chance to build himself a nice legacy in Denver.

He’s entering his age-26 season, so he should theoretically be in his prime years.

I do think we’ll see a nice bounceback year from him.

Remember, sacks do not tell the whole story. Just because Bradley Chubb may finish the season with 8.0 sacks, doesn’t mean he wasn’t that good.

Run defense, QB hits, and creating pressure all play into a quality edge rusher.

With Randy Gregory on the other side and the Joneses in the middle, it’s likely that Chubb would be able to notch a higher sack total, which should force George Paton to give him a long-term deal.

Even though there may be a section of Broncos Country that does not care much for Bradley Chubb anymore, the entire fanbase should be rooting for his return to form, because that only makes the team better.
