Former Denver Broncos: The new Seattle Seahawks trio

Drew Lock, QB

The trio of players heading to the Seattle Seahawks in the Russell Wilson trade will obviously be of interest in 2022.

Can Drew Lock win the starting job over Geno Smith? I sure hope that’s the case, but you never really know.

If the Seahawks give Lock a shot, he’s in a good position to succeed. He has strong weapons, a revamped offensive line, and the Seahawks run the type of offense Lock looked solid in back in his rookie season in 2019.

It will be fascinating to see what he can do with a fresh start.

Noah Fant, TE

The former first-round pick has been one of the NFL’s best tight ends at creating yardage after the catch since coming into the league.

Unfortunately, Pat Shurmur had Fant run every route to the boundary last season and we didn’t get to see much of that YAC ability.

The Seahawks would be wise to scheme Fant opportunities in space and across the middle of the field where he can do damage.

Shelby Harris, DL

For many Denver Broncos fans, seeing Harris leave is the toughest of all the players that departed in the trade.

Harris became such a fun success story in Denver and he had just re-signed last offseason. His emotional press conference and the fact that he wanted to be part of the change of culture in Denver made this such a tough goodbye.

I am certain Harris is going to excel in Seattle and he will be an easy player to root for.

Just not in Week 1 of the 2022 season.
