9 former Denver Broncos that could excel on new teams in 2022
Former Denver Broncos player no. 3: Nate Hairston, CB, Minnesota Vikings
It was oddly tough to see Nate Hairston go as a free agent in the 2022 offseason.
Hairston, who was a relatively unceremonious acquisition by the Broncos at one point, signed on with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason to continue working with former Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Ed Donatell, who is now the defensive coordinator of the Vikings.
Hairston was thrust into a role last season for the Broncos out of the slot and actually did a really good job.
In limited action, Hairston had just nine tackles but he managed to break up four passes and he showed enough to be worth another, longer look out of the slot in Denver or somewhere else.
Unfortunately, we won’t see his development continue in Denver, but it will be great to see what he can do with an opportunity in Minnesota.
The Vikings desperately needed an infusion of talent in the secondary and we saw new general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah get after that area of the roster all offseason.
He made some significant upgrades to the secondary in the NFL Draft, so hopefully after all of the acquisitions made, Hairston can still crack the rotation
