Kyle Fuller, Cornerback

The Broncos looked to upgrade their secondary last season by adding the three-headed monster of Patrick Surtain, Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller to shore up a weak cornerback position on the roster.

Though Surtain was the team’s first-round pick, Fuller looked like one of the better signings any team made in free agency. A back-to-back Pro Bowler in 2018 and 2019, Fuller was also coming to a defense ran by Vic Fangio, who he was familiar with from their days with the Chicago Bears.

But one season was all the Broncos needed to see out of Fuller, who just did not play well at all in the Mile High City.

Fuller made 40 tackles and had four pass deflections with the Broncos but did not intercept a pass and was routinely beaten in the passing game, flat out torched at times.

He ended up starting in only 10 games for the team and was benched for poor play. It was widely speculated that the Broncos would move him ahead of the trade deadline but no deal was ever made.

It seemed that Fuller fell out of favor quickly in Denver and it was not surprising to see the Broncos choose not to offer him a new deal. The Baltimore Ravens are ready to give him a chance though as he signed a one-year deal with them on Tuesday.
