Three former Denver Broncos still in the league

Bradley Roby, Cornerback

The most experienced former Bronco in this article is Bradley Roby, an up and down player for Denver, who was drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.

Pairing with Chris Harris, Jr, and Aqib Talib, this trio of cornerbacks helped anchor the No Fly Zone, which was Denver’s own version of their elite secondary for several seasons during and after the Manning era.

It was indeed the No Fly Zone that helped the Denver Broncos win Super Bowl 50, and Roby serving was a big part of that.

What was interesting about this situation is that both Harris and Talib were the Denver Broncos’ top two cornerbacks.

Bradley Roby was also plenty talented enough to be a CB1 himself, but the elite company he found himself in allowed him to flourish big time as a CB3, even though he was much better than the depth chart told us.

However, his 2018 season was a bit rough, which was his last season in the orange and blue.

He was not brought back, played two years with the Houston Texans in 2019 and 2020, and spent 2021 with the New Orleans Saints.

Roby remains a solid CB2 option, but never really seemed to crack that CB1 status like he had probably hoped as a former first-round pick.

He also just turned 30, so he could have several more years in front of him as well.
